PC compatibili con Ubuntu: guida ai prodotti

Acquistando un PC qualsiasi e provando ad installare una distribuzione GNU/Linux corriamo il rischio di non apprezzare appieno l’esperienza Linux per incompatibilità hardware: alcune componenti (di alcuni produttori, Realtek su tutti) potrebbero non funzionare correttamente per un problema di driver. Per evitare questo tipo di problema possiamo acquistare un PC (notebook o desktop) con la piena compatibilità delle componenti hardware su Linux. Non dovremo più acquistare un PC temendo che qualche componente non venga riconosciuta o funzioni male: i PC compatibili con Ubuntu presentano solo componenti pienamente testate e compatibili al 100% con il sistema operativo, con un grande risparmio di denaro e di tempo (quest’ultimo perso normalmente a far funzionare delle componenti difficoltose su Ubuntu).

Ecco una lista (non esaustiva) dei PC certificati per Ubuntu che possono essere acquistati dagli utenti interessati.

NOTA: molti PC sono FreeDOS, ma alcuni vengono venduti con Windows pre-installato. Spetta all’utente togliere Windows o installare Ubuntu in dual-boot.
