Dopo 5 mesi di sviluppo il team di MATE ha annunciato il rilascio MATE Desktop 1.14, la nuova versione del desktop environment nato dalle ceneri di GNOME 2.
Questa nuova versione porta con se diverse migliorie che riguardano sopratutto il supporto alle GKT+3. In particolare abbiamo un migliorato supporto alle GKT+3 di tutto MATE Desktop, il supporto completo alle GKT 3.20 di tutti i temi di MATE, il porting completo di MATEATE System Monitor e di Mozo alle GTK+3 e miglioramenti vari alel varie componenti di sistema.
